2. Ursula Bettine Dixon-Spain
Claire Anthony wrote in 2003, “… Great-Auntie Bettine was in the WRAF during the war, but an English teacher by profession. She’s still alive and well and living in the New Forest, I believe she was born in the Raj and that obviously fuelled her passion for the exotic as at the grand age of 83 she’s rarely on UK soil! She never married or had children … “
from Berkhamstead College Brochure: “Ursula Bettine Dixon-Spain (Holme, 1936) died on 25th August 2005. She was School Prefect and keen sportswoman, being Captain of the Tennis 1st VI and also Captain of the 1st XII Lacrosse team. Ursula remembered her School in her will leaving a
significant gift to the Foundation’s Scholarship and Bursaries Programme.”
