    Raised in Hartlepool. First job, kennel maid before the war. Joined up to WRENS. Roberts killed first year of the war. Met Michael Dixon-Spain at Scapa Flow. Married early 1944(?) First child Roger born 1945. Anna 1947. Stephanie 1949. Victoria 1950 (?) Michael died May 1976. Marjorie married Douglas Duncan in 1982. Died in 2001.

    Father was Herbert Squires m. Elsie?
    No siblings, but had a close cousin Mary married James Nesbitt (Navy) — Daughters Alison, Debbie and Jane. (From the Wirral).
